As with any other medical illness, there is a wide range of severity with mental health illnesses.
Those with a very severe form of illness might require a level of care that is best suited for a larger practice or agency where ancillary care such as case management services, home health aide services, or other wrap around care may be provided. More severely ill patients should seek care at a community mental health center (such as Connections-in Signature Health, The Centers or May Dugan-in Cleveland) or at one of the major hospitals (University Hospitals of Cleveland, the Cleveland Clinic, or MetroHealth Hospital), where such services are readily available. If my evaluation reveals that a higher level of care is indicated, we will discuss how best for you to proceed.
